Oil Formation!!

Today we talked about how fossil fuels form. Peat is the material that later forms into oil, coal, or natural gas. There is peat all over the world right now that may, in time, turn into a fossil fuel. It is usually found in swampy areas (and usually it does not smell very good).

Crude oil is raw oil, it's fresh out of the ground, meaning it hasn't been refined.

Hydrocarbon is a molecule found in crude oil. It contains hydrogen, carbon, and a lot of energy.

Different hydrocarbons have different boiling points. So through heat, oil can be separated from the other hydrocarbons.

Crude oil is the term for "unprocessed" oil, the stuff that comes out of the ground. It is also known as petroleum.hydrocarbon...Hydrocarbon, an organic chemical compound composed of carbon and hydrogen. Hydrocarbons may be gases, liquids, or solids. In nature, they are foundAmerica's oil actually comes from a variety of places. In June of 2009, 36 percent of America's oil came from domestic sources. Of that domestically produced oil, 11 percent came from Alaska, while the remaining 89 percent came from various oil fields in the lower 48 states [source: Energy Information Administration].

A whopping 64 percent of the oil America used in June of 2009 was imported. However, the major source of America's oil imports may surprise you. It's Canada. Twenty-one percent of the oil imported to the United States in June of 2009 came from Canada

1. What is crude oil?
Crude oil is naturally occurring gas that comes out of a ground, it is thick and black.

2. What is a hydrocarbon?
Hydrocarbon is found in Crude oil, it contains hydrogen and carbon molecules.

3. How do you get gasoline from crude oil? You have to take a gas to a Oil refining, there the gas goes threw different stages to take all the un-needed and needed gas, and separate them.

Crude oil is unprocessed oil. The unrefined stuff that comes out of the ground. Hydrocarbon is a molecule that contains hydrogen and carbon. To get gas from crude oil you use fractional distillation or chemical processing/conversion.

Crude oil is oil that is fresh out of the ground; it has not been refined or touched at all really

Hydrocarbons are molecules that are made out of hydrogen and carbon. Hydrocarbon can be many different forms like methane (CH4) the smallest hydrocarbon

The oil refinery uses heat to pull the vapor chains out

Crude oil is unprocessed oil that hasn't been changed and is the way it was when it was underground. They come from dead animals and plants that died millions of years ago, and took millions of years to make.
Hydrocarbon is a molecule that comes in many forms and structures, such as crude oil. They contain a lot of energy.
To get gasoline from crude oil, they use heat to separate all of the stuff.

31. What is crude oil?
Crude oil is a synonym for "unprocessed" oil, a fossil fuel that comes out of the ground
2. What is a hydrocarbon?
A hydrocarbon is a molecule with hydrogen and carbon that come in many sizes.

Crude oil is raw oil its the thing that comes out of the ground and it has vary color. Hydrocarbon is a molecule found in crude oil. They contain a lot of energy and are a combination of hydrogen and carbon. The thing that causes the energy is the hydrocarbons, which luckily boil at different points so just by boiling they can separate the hydrocarbons in to many different combinations.

1) Crude oil- Thick black oil fresh from the ground.
2)Hydrocarbon- something found in crude oil. Made of hydrogen and carbon.
3)Bring it to the oil refining to separated what is needed.

1.)what is crude oil?
Crude oil is a liquid composed of hydrogen and carbon.

2.)What is a hydrocarbon?
It's a molecule that contain hydrogen and carbon.

3.) How do you get gasoline from crude oil?
The crude oil is sent to a refinery and the hydrocarbons are separated.

1. Crude Oil is a simpler why of saying unprocessed oil.

2. Hydrocarbons are molecules that are part hydrogen and part carbon.

3. Gasoline is created by refining crude oil, and separating it's certain types of hydrocarbons to make anything useful from the crude oil.

What is crude oil?
crude oil is unprocessed oil that comes from the ground, it is a fossil fuel. that means that it was made by nature from things like animals and plants from the sea millions of years ago. Crude can be clear but it can also be black.

what is a hydrocarbon?
hydrocarbon is molecule that has hydrogen and carbon in it. the molecules can very in length and structure.

how do you get gas from crude oil?
you get it by taking the oil to a refining factory which use heat to separate things.

Crude oil is a liquid found naturally in rocks with some additional organic material. It is the major fuel used on the planet, and is used in the production of many synthetic materials like plastics as well.

A hydrocarbon is a molecule that is composed of only hydrogen and carbon atoms.

Crude oil is oil that is fresh out of the ground in has not been processed.

A hydrocarbon is a molecule posses hydro and carbon it is one of many components found in crude oil.

To make gasoline from crude oil you have to take the gas to the oil refinery while you are there the gas goes through a lot of changes because they need to ged rid of all the extra materials to get the gas to its clean state.

crude oil is oil in its natural state. it comes in many colors and its thickness varies. it is also known as petroleum.

a hydrocarbon is a molecule that contains hydrogen and carbon. the molecule comes in many types and has a lot of energy.

in a tower the temperature lowers as the altitude increases. the hydrocarbons rise as they boil and depending on their boiling points they can keep rising until it gets too cold for them. the hydrocarbons with high boiling points can't rise very high because they get too cold very easily. the hydrocarbons with a low boiling points rise higher because they can stand low temperatures and still boil.

1.Crude oil is unprocessed oil its the natural form of the gasoline that you put in your car.

2. Hydrocarbon is a molecule that is in crude oil, and many other things. It has Hydrogen And Carbon in it.

3. To get gasoline you must separate the useless stuff from the Use-full stuff. The easiest way to do this is to boil it, let it vaporize, and pressurize it.

3. You get gasoline from oil by boiling the crude oil in order to separate them.

1) Crude oil witch it also called Petroleum is a fossil fuel made from several million year old decayed aquatic plants and animals.

2) Hydrocarbons are molecules containing Carbon and Hydrogen, they also contain a lot of energy.

3) The different Hydrocarbons have different boiling points so they can be separated by distillation, one of these Hydrocarbons being gasoline.
