By some estimates, Earth's windiest places could generate more than 10 times the energy used worldwide. But what are the obstacles that prevent us from doing it? Technological advances and the money to fund them are the primary barriers to our becoming free of our dependence on fossil fuels.

Schools plus wind equals awesome. In a school in Iowa they installed wind turbine that powers the whole school. Not only that but there is a bigger one to power the town and make them money, enough for 3 teachers. It also helped the science teacher teach the students.
A while ago in the energy failure an inventor saw that kites (the children’s toy) generate more electricity than a turbine. That is because the kite can go higher than a turbine, where the faster wind is. Then someone found that article and it helped him make more energy for less.
The turbines at Wild Horse Wind and Solar Facility stand over 200 ft. The structure sways slightly in the wind. The wind turbines have three sections each. The lowest section is called the bay section. And the highest is called the top section. In between them is the mid-section.
In Iowa there is a school that generates electricity used their two wind turbines. The district build the first turbine in 1993.Then they later added another. The turbines earn the school 120,000 dollar each year which pays 2-3 teachers. The taller tower stands 180ft and could resist 130 mph wind. Both towers shut down in strong wind.
In the first of the two videos that I watched, a guy went in to a wind turbine. He climbed up the ladder until he got to the top. A wind turbine has three sections to it. the base section, the middle section and the top section.
The second video that I watched explained how kites could generate electricity. Though this idea was thought of some time ago, it had been ignored until recently. The person who saw the idea put it into action. The kite is connected to a robot, and it is sent up in the air, much higher than all wind turbines. Since there is more wind up there, it was able to generate twice as much electricity.
In Iowa there is a school that is powered by wind. It is the first school of its kind and has two turbines. A small one for the school and a larger one for the community. The larger one is 180 ft and is anchored by metal bolts that go 25 ft into the ground. The turbines can stand winds up to 130 mph and they will shut down if the wind gets too strong. The two turbines have saved the school 120,000 a year scince 1993. One of the teachers dosen't understand why other schools don't get this kind of help. I think it would be a good idea for Crefeld.
In Iowa there is a school with not one but two wind turbines. The two turbines powers the school, and another turbine helps power the town. They make 120thousand dollars a year for these turbines, paying the salaries of teachers. The physics teacher there at the school uses the turbines as a lesson plan, and teacher his students about how they work. The Students have also calculated how much energy they have been saving.
Two men are going to be climbing a wind turbine. They turbine might sway a little because of the wind pushing it, the turbine is going to be over 200ft high to climb. The generator and air cooler weigh just a little bit less than ten tons! When they get up to the top, they climb out on to the top of the turbine.

In england they are rather lacking in their wind power advances, thus they need to work on that. The *Kite* although overlooked as a "childrens toy," can be used to generate power for millions of homes, hopefully we'll develope the power to harness it's full potential. Wind energy can even be used to power small schools with a rather small turbine. In denmark there is a large wind farm in the middle of the ocean, the workers live there, it is a hard but noble thing.
Now, Denmark has the largest wind farm. It has 91 turbines which make enough energy for 200,000 homes. London is planning a bigger wind farm in 2012, with 341 turbines. Its technicians are living near it, and they sound very excited, even though their twelve hours of work isn't easy.
Until I watched several of the videos posted, I thought there was only one method of utilizing the wind to create energy, through turbines . Now I know that kites can create energy too. Actually, in theory, kites can generate more energy than turbines, because there higher in the air and can pick up more wind. I also learned that there is a school district located in Iowa, that uses wind power as its source for energy. There are two turbines near the school, one bigger than the other, these turbines save the school enough money to hire two or three teachers.
This Wind Farm is the world's biggest Wind Farm in Denmark. many people look forward to living on this plantation because it would be healthy to this enviroment. It took 18 months to construct the windpark. Tecnicians are out working 12 hours everyday even in bad weather, but it is for a great cause. When the Wind Farm gets up to its full compacity of 91 turbins, that is enough electricity for about 200,000 homes.
Many say that there are not enough turbines in the U.K, and they are right. I personaly think that these people made it a big deal because, wind turbines produce the biggest wind energy in the U.K. Over the next decade, about 1 billion of pans will be invested building huge Wnd Farms off the coast.
In Iowa, a school is powered by two in turbines. In 1993, the district build the wind turbines. The turbines are rated to stand about 130 mph. they are designed to shut down in strong winds, and produce power at about 8 mph winds.
The UK has the worlds biggest offshore wind farm until the wind farm in London is finished being built in 2012 .It has 91 turbines, it can generate 209 megawatts power enough for 200,000 homes. The worker stayed in a hotel boat for about 18 months when the wind park was being built.

Outside a school in Iowa, they placed two wind turbines. In 1963 the school district built the first wind turbine to power the school. Soon they built another and together the two earned the school $120,000.00. The newest one stands at 180 feet

The worlds biggest wind farm is off the coast of Denmark. It has a total of 91 turbines that can generate 209 megawatts. That energy is enough to power 200,000 homes. London plans to make a bigger one in 2012 that has 341 turbines
Wild Horse Wind and Solar Facility stands over 200 feet in the air. There are 3 sections to each turban a top section, mid section, and a base. the generators and air coolers way around 10 tons while the airlock ways about 20.
A wind farm off the coast of Denmark has been made the worlds biggest offshore wind farm. its full captivity has 91 turbines it can product 209 megawatts. 209 megawatts can make so much energy that it can give electricity to over 200,000 homes. the turbines are 114.5 meters above the sea and about 35 below.
Kite can and have been used to do many things. They were used in military races the first ever flight all the great inventors had kites. The last energy crises there were an idea form miles loved that used an airplane connected to a string to generate energy. Basically a giant kite.
A free flying wing can generate more energy then turbine with a fixed wing. In the next 30 to forty yards we need to make 1000,000,000,000,000 new clean energy hopefully we can do that by using wind power, 35,500 bolts of energy are in a wind turban every day There is a Base section top section and mid section to each turbine. The generated and air cooler weight just less then 10tons.
In Iowa there is a school that generates electricity from two turbines. The school district built the first wind turbine in 1993. The turbines make over 100,000 dollars a year. The turbines can withstand over 125 mile a hour winds.
The United kingdom will have the worlds biggest wind farm when construction is complete in 2012. Right now it has 91 turbines, it can generate around 200 megawatts to power around 200000 homes.
