A long time ago in a monastery far, far away....
Robert Hooke was one of the first to observe that all living organisms are made of structures which he called "cells." He named them after the living quarters for monks in a monastery (cells!). The word "cell," as defined by dictionary.com, is "any of various small compartments or bounded areas forming part of a whole." This definition works well for our understanding of what a cell is in life science. They are the simplest structures that make up life.

Watch the video about cells and answer the questions:
1. How many cells are in a human body?
2. Which parts of the body are made of cells?
3. What does the nucleus do inside the cell?
4. What does the membrane do?
5. Do cells communicate?
6. What other interesting thing did you learn from this video?

trillions of cells in our body.
the entire body is made from cells( bone skin heart ect.)
nucleus acts as the cells brain and controls it's activities
the membrane protects each cell and takes in materials the cell needs to stay alive and to do specific functions
the communicate by the cells networks, it transports material throughout the cell
that the body produces new cells from mitosis
there are trillions and trillions of cells in our body. all of our body is made of cells. the nucleus is like the cells brain it controls the cells. the membrain is there to protect each cell and take in the materials that the cell need to stay alive.our body produces new cells from somthing called mitosis.

1. trillions (lots)
2. All of it. All
3. Brain
4. Its "skin," it protects stuff, lets good stuff (food materials etc) through
5. Sort of
6. Mitrosis
.How many cells are in a human body?:INFINITE AMOUNT
.Which parts of the body are made of cells?:SKIN, HEART, BRAIN..
.What does the nucleus do inside the cell?:CONTROLS THE ACTIVITY AND HOLDS THE DNA
.What does the membrane do?:PROTECTS CELLS AND BRINGS IN THE RAW MATERIALS THAT NEED TO STAY ALIVE
.Do cells communicate? YES WHEN A PART OF THE BODY IS HURT THEY CALL OTHER CELLS TO HELP HEAL THE BODY
.What other interesting thing did you learn from this video?:EVERY THING THAT LIVES IS MADE UP OF CELLS
RE said 1 trillions 2 musels skin heart brain 3hold dna and control cell 4 protects cell 5 yes 6 cells have 'trains' and are yonger than us
1. trillions
2. muscles, heart, skin, brain etc
3. the nucleus controls the cells and tells it what to do
4. membrane protects cell and takes in nutrients
5. they do communicate
6. millions of cells work together to get a heart beat
trillion of cells are in our body.
the entire body is made from cells.bones, skin, heart and brain are made of cells too.
the nucleus controls the cell and is like the brain of the cell.also it holds the dna
the membrane protects each cell. it takes in materials the cells needs to stay alive.
cells do communticate
that some of our cells are younger than us.
1. How many cells are in a human body? We are constantly losing and replacing cells they are forever growing and breaking part to form new cells
2. Which parts of the body are made of cells? Entire body
3. What does the nucleus do inside the cell? Holds the dan and instructions for life like the brain
4. What does the membrane do? it protects the cell and allows regulation of what goes in and out like food and what cells need
5. Do cells communicate? yes
6. What other interesting thing did you learn from this video? All cells basically have the same structure. Water nutrients and waste constantly move in and out of the cell
DIGGY DOG D
There is no specific number of cells that make up THE human body, however, we do know that many trillions of cells are in one body.
Your entire body is made up of cells. Your fingernails, your liver, your heart and even your brain. Maybe it's smarter to be caught in a cell than people think.
The nucleus is the brain of a cell. It holds DNA, the tool for making life work. Kinda makes Douglas Adams, the DNA discovered in that same year seem inconsequential, don'tcha think?
The cell's membrane brings in raw materials and all the other stuff the cell needs to work. Sort of like a gopher for a cubicle system job network.
Cells communicate through electric pulses, allowing us to think, have a heartbeat and many other things.
Cells go through mitosis to reproduce.
1: there are trillions of cells in our body
2: every part of our body is made of cells some examples of that is the brain the heart skin and molecules that help you move
3: the nucleus accesses a cells brain controlling its activities
4: the membrane protects each cell and takes in raw materials to stay alive
5: cells communicate to each other when there's a wounds and to help heel that wound
6: cells die and get replaced all the time, the heart is made of muscle cells that twitch in there own rhythm, but together beat as one

2. Every part of the human body is made up of cells.
3. The nucleus acts as the brain.
4. The membrane protects each cell.
5. Cells can communicate.
6. An interesting thing I learned was that our body is constantly losing and gaining cells.
